Corbin King Profile

Corbin King came to worldwide notice with his blistering guitar work on Vainglory's critically acclaimed 2050 release. He was proclaimed as "one of the brightest young guitar stars to have come around in years" by numerous outlets.

Blending influences from diverse styles such as traditional metal to shred metal to heavy blues rock, Corbin's dominant guitar is truly astounding, yet his debut solo release Destination showcases a great neo-classical technique in a similar vein to Joe Stump.

Throughout the 8 tracks on offer on Destination, Corbin runs through pretty much every trademark neo-classical motif, yet there is a fresh sound and energy displayed within these tracks.

Guitar World magazine commented, "King seems to have mastered every lick in the book: modal daredevilry, hi-octane sweep arpeggios, speed picking, unhinged improvisation. Destination? King is already there.".

Corbin King looks set to be a star for the future and it will be interesting to see what his next solo album will reveal, the guys has great chops, a good tone and very good vibrato - check him out.
