Mission Statement

I would like to formally welcome you to a new website where my aim is to become the number 1 resource for the neo-classical metal genre and the many acts both old and new that are keeping the genre thriving.  The uninitiated may believe that the movement started and ended with Yngwie Malmsteen, whilst Yngwie is the most fundamental artist in fully defining this genre there are many more musicians and bands that are bringing exciting new content to the genre as well as keeping the traditional flame alive. 

If you are new to this genre and would like to find out more about its music and artists then you have come to right place.  Baroque & Roll will provide you with information on the established, new and underground acts that are keeping the flame burning bright. We will be reviewing the latest releases as well as providing you with the latest news.  We will feature exclusive interviews with the leading players and new talent to help improve awareness of these players as well as reviewing releases both old and new.

Please note that we only cover neo-classical metal here, if your CD features 1 neo-classical track and 9 of a different genre the chances are we will not review that cd here.
